🌾 How It All Started

Bella Blue Photography was born from heartbreak, hope, and a whole lot of soul.

Years ago, I picked up my camera not to build a business—but to feel something. I was deep in the messy middle of IVF, trying to grow a family while navigating what felt like solo parenting. Life didn’t look the way I thought it would, but something in me kept whispering—document this.

So I did.
I photographed everything—the quiet mornings, the beach walks, the golden light hitting my daughter’s curls just right. I didn’t want perfect. I wanted real.

We used to call her Ella Bella Blue Eyes. It was our thing. My girl, with her ocean-deep gaze and fiery spirit. That nickname became my everything. And eventually, it became the name of this dream: Bella Blue Photography.

Now, with both of my not so little kiddos—my daughter and my son—I’ve come to understand the depth of motherhood in a whole new way. The way his  hand grabs mine. The belly laughs. The wild, joyful chaos. They’ve both taught me to slow down and see the beauty in the ordinary.

What started as snapping photos of my own world—sunsets, sand-covered toddler toes, sleepy newborn snuggles—slowly turned into something bigger.
Friends asked me to capture their families. Then strangers became clients. And clients turned into lifelong soul connections.

Now I’m a single mama, chasing sunsets, iced coffee in hand, documenting love in all its wild, messy, sacred forms. From sleepy newborns to barefoot brides, windswept mamas to soul-led retreats—my camera has taken me places I never imagined.

Bella Blue is more than a name.
It’s my daughter.
It’s my son.
It’s the ocean.
It’s the truth that even in the chaos, there’s beauty worth remembering.

This is how it started. And this is only the beginning.
